I’ll be the first to say that I’m not a huge Superman fan, nor the biggest Zak Snyder fan (though i really love his version of Dawn of the Dead and i may be the only fan of Watchmen), but I’m interested in this one.
Snyder does have a good eye for visual flair and having Michael Shannon in the cast has my attention. Let us know what you think!

I’m not a ‘Superman’ fan either.
But I do like Snyder’s output – the only one I don’t really care for is ‘Sucker Punch’ though I didn’t find it unwatchable. Seeing ‘Watchmen’ described as ‘Turdmen’ is quite bemusing. Funny, but bemusing.
There isn’t enough in that trailer. I still don’t believe a man can fly.
i know I’d get flack for it but I would defend Watchmen. I didn’t have a lot tied to the memory of the comic book, but I thought Snyder really pulled off something incredible with Watchmen. It’s a huge scope to work with and certain bits like Dr. Manhattan’s speech on mars is awesome.
Didn’t know anything about the comic when I saw ‘Watchmen’.
I’d read something about a few fanboys getting their knickers in knot about the film’s finale differing from the comic because Snyder didn’t have a giant squid in it or something. Didn’t mean a thing to me.
I just thought it was a great story. Still do.
I like Supes, but really, there’s not a lot to go on with this trailer. I’ll wait until a full trailer before judging.
Snyder’s made one okay movie, which is DotD and one good movie, which is Legend of the Guardians. Watchmen is crap. But the source material is heinously overrated, and Snyder’s slavish facsimile was never going to work for me I suppose. Hated 300, and turned Sucker Punch off after 20 minutes.
I think that looks like absolute honk, but Droid is right, there isn’t a lot to go on.
Droid is also right about Turdmen. It’s hideous, and because of his slavish vomiting of the material on to the screen.
300 is better, and that’s crap as well. Sucker Punch is the worst though.

While I’ll admit that Sucker Punch is absolute garbage, I think Watchmen is vastly underrated. It looks great, has much more pathos than most superhero films (much of it from the source but I feel like Snyder actually conveyed it) and it is just so massive in scope for a director’s 3rd film out. I think Snyder can do some great stuff in the future. Maybe shy away from writing, but he has talent
