As I was sitting here compiling the Fall Movie Preview for PCN, my mind kept going back to Looper. It’s a science-fiction action thriller from the director of Brick and The Brothers Bloom. It has an interesting conceit in the fact the two primary adversaries are the same man, just at different points in his life. Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt are doing the heavy lifting.

Although some of the trailers have been focusing on the action beats, I’m curious to know if the film fulfills the promise there in the concept. I’m hopeful and Johnson is a filmmaker I find interesting, even if I haven’t completely loved what he’s done so far.
